E4 - Enhancing Employment Opportunities in Jordan Energy and Environment Sector

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to enhance Jordanian host communities’ resilience, creating employment opportunities, strengthening links with private sector and increasing income generation in the environment and energy sectors.

Specifically, the objective is to foster job generation and market creation in the Governorates of Amman, Irbid and Mafraq through recycling, green technology, renewable energy (RE), energy efficiency (EE) and water efficiency (WE) solutions.

One result of the project (R1) is the construction of a recycling pilot plant in the Greater Irbid Municipality including the training provided to all new staff.

JOECO in partnership with the Italian NGO ICU is collaborating in the achievement of the R1.
